Maldives from 479€ with Etihad (luggage included)

The golf airline Etihad Airways is currently not only selling cheap tickets to Southeast Asia but also the price to the Maldives is impressive. From 479€ it goes from Munich or Frankfurt including 23 kg luggage to Malé.

The flights are operated with a change at Abu-Dhabi airport. There you will spend between two to five hours until your connecting flight. Ideally, the flight time is only about 13 hours in each direction.

According to the Fare Rules, flights can be booked until 31 January 2020 for departures between 1 February and 31 March 2020, with a minimum stay of four days or one night on Sunday and a return flight no later than 12 April 2020.

You can find suitable dates quickly and easily with the help of Google Flights (instructions). You can book the dates found from 479€ via idealo (with a credit card at least 10€ more expensive) or for 526€ directly with Etihad Airways.

Alternatives with Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways, based in Doha, is also currently selling reduced tickets to the Maldives. These are especially interesting if you are coming from Northern Germany (because Rail&Fly is included) or if the journey to Milan is an option:

The Maldives for 375€ per person from Milan (min. 2 travelers)
The Maldives for 503€ from Frankfurt & Munich (incl. Rail&Fly to the train journey)
The tickets are issued in booking class T. Unfortunately, the mileage credit is limited – there are only 25% of the distance miles available under some frequent flyer programs such as Korean Air Skypass or Etihad Guest.
